- Clinical Project with Laboratory work
What is the background of the project?
DESCRIPTION:Non-contagious chronic diseases (NCCD) are multifactorial diseases that develop over the course of life and are long lasting, which include tumors, cardiovascular diseases, endocrinological diseases. Currently, they are considered a serious public health problem, accounting for 63% of the world's deaths in 2008, according to estimates by the World Health Organization. Following this worldwide trend, in Brazil, in 2013, NCCDs were the cause of approximately 72.6% of deaths (System of Information in Mortality, 2015). The IPCEM projects are phase 2 and 3 clinical trials aimed at checking new indications for drugs; check adverse effects of these drugs and offer drugs not yet available in our country for the population, especially in oncology. The IPCEM team is dedicated to shield the pathologies of most interest, thus contributing to the advancement in patient care. AIM: The IPCEM projects are mainly related to the study of major diseases in oncology, endocrinology and cardiology. USED TECHNIQUES:Clinical trials involving patient care, vital signs, check laboratory tests and imaging, pharmaceutical care and infusion drugs.
