What is the background of the project?
DESCRIPTION. The research project consists in identify what sociodemographic and ginecobstetric factors in existence are more frequent in pregnant patients with the diagnosis of preeclampsia attending as outpatient at IMSS in Madero City, so the results presented provide tools allowing physicians and students a better identification of the pathology, and women who are at risk, with surveys and analysis of clinical cases. AIM. To determine sociodemographic and gynecological factors as etiology in pregnant patients diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, due to the increase of cases in the state of Tamaulipas and with this to demonstrate if there is any sociodemographic or gynecological factor characteristic of this area. What is the aim of the project?
To determine sociodemographic and gynecological factors as etiology in pregnant patients diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, due to the increase of cases in the state of Tamaulipas and with this to demonstrate if there is any sociodemographic or gynecological factor characteristic of this area.
What techniques and methods are used?
There’ll be a poll designed by the investigator for the pregnant patients with preclampsy and the analysis of each onethe labs of every patient.
What is the role of the student?
- The tasks will be done under supervision
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
Conducting the surveys carried out for the project by the tutor, patients of the Outpatient Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital and evaluation of the results of the labs with analysis of records of patients under a checklist and tutor supervision. Also attend Outpatient Department of the Hospital and assist the emergency area of labor and delivery as spectators of some clinical cases suggested by the tutor for feedback and learning research
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
Reading of articles from the Journal Medical about the reseach topic, a lecture given by the tutor and investigator and other professors accordign the speciality area.
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
That they have coursed basic subjects such as anatomy, physiology, developmental biology, semiology and propaedeutic, and knowledge of scientific method, so after further research they can elaborate the scientific poster with the presentation of the results and present it before the teachers in charge of the research.
