What is the background of the project?
DESCRIPTION. The project consist of identifying the frequency of risk factors for breast cancer in patients, is a cross-sectional, descriptive and retrospective study, so the results presented provide tools allowing physicians and students for a better identification of the pathology and women who are at risk, with data collection trough a format.
What is the aim of the project?
To determine the frequency of risk factors for breast cancer in users of a familiar medicine clinic given their increasing prevalence in recent years.
What techniques and methods are used?
A descriptive and retrospective cross-sectional study reviewing conducted cases diagnosed with breast cancer in different clinical stages, filling a format developed by the tutor, studying variables such as age at the moment of the diagnosis, body mass index, family history, ginecobstetric records, smoking and drinking history, diabetes and prescription of exogenous hormones.
What is the role of the student?
- The tasks will be done under supervision

Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
- No specific outcome is expected
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
That they have coursed basic subjects such as anatomy, physiology, developmental biology, semiology and propaedeutic, and knowledge of scientific method, so after further research they can elaborate the scientific poster with the presentation of the results and present it before the teachers in charge of the investigation.
