What is the background of the project?
Maternal and infantile mortality rates are still high in Burkina Faso (EDS,2015:307 for 100 000 alive births/85 mother for 1000) .HIV's global prevalence (1,2 per cent) is also a public health concern. Likewise the low involvement of patients to medical care strategies is a big handicap. Nevertheless the Information and Communication Technologies advent, especially mobile telephony, allow to optimize the follow-up of children, mother and Person Living with HIV.We are interested to determine to an extent how an interactive mobile phone system can improve the use of maternal ,infantile and VIH/SIDA health services in order to reinforce health system ,equity promotion and governance. The aim of the project is to contribute to improve maternal and infantile health care including HIV's medical care by using E-Health (mobile health) in rural area of Nouna Health District. This study conceived as a quasi-experimental one was implemented in 5 health facilities and five other being used as control health facilities. Data were collected and analyzed at pre and post intervention.

Demonstrate how helpful can ICTs be for Human Health when used rightly
What techniques and methods are used?
ICTs will mainly be used to share practical informations about the steps of treatments and as reminder of check ups and appointments with physicians.
What is the role of the student?
- The student will observe the practical experiments but will be highly involved in the analysis of the results
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
Send text messages or call the patients Do their clinical examination on the appointment time and day
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
- The student will prepare a scientific report - The student will prepare an abstract
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
The student must have basic nowledge on:clinical examination ,pediatry,gynecology and virolgy.
