What is the background of the project?
Blood pressure and heart rate indicate a person's cardiovascular health. Usually, physical exercise promotes a healthy heart. This investigation is focused on the effect of physical activity on blood pressure and heart rate. Particularly, this study determines if the diastolic blood pressure and resting heart rate is different between athletes and non-athletes, excluding obese or underweight, smoking, alcoholic, diabetic and patients with cardiac, renal, and respiratory diseases.

The result of the research will be internationally accepted as there is no current establishment between the resting heart rate and diastolic blood pressure. Participating students will have their names and profiles published in the Nigerian medical research magazine(nimr), graphics newspaper, the student doctor, and other media houses
