What is the background of the project?
Description of the project : Gallstone is more than80% of acute pancreatitis in Morocco. Cholecystectomy is the definitive treatment for gallstones. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the preferred route for performing cholecystectomy. The timing of laparoscopic cholecystectomy after an attack of severe acute biliary pancreatitis is controversaial. What is the aim of the project? The timing of laparoscopic cholecystectomy after an attack of acute biliary pancreatitis is controversial. To compare the benefits and harms of early versus delayed laparoscopic cholecystectomy for patients with acute severe biliary pancreatitis. What techniques and methods will be used? Prospective study, statistic analytic, evaluation questionnary.

What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
/Attend laparoscopic cholecystectomy after severe acute pancreatitis and record the patients' cases
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
- The student will prepare a poster - The student will prepare a presentation - The student will prepare a scientific report
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
Be able to answer these question at the end of the project : - Should cholecystectomy be done? - When should it be done? - What are the optimal conditions? - How to look for the associated main gallstone lithiasis? - Should it be treated endoscopically or surgically? - At what moment ? - and the course of the cholecystectomy
