What is the background of the project?
Biological samples will be collected at the Department of Biology and stored for further analysis. Using FTIR spectroscopy the spectra of stored biological samples will be recorded. The spectra will be assigned and analyzed by multivariate and chemometric statistical methods.
What is the aim of the project?
Make a new model for the screening of different embryo toxic and teratogenic substances.
What techniques and methods are used?
Use of Infrared and Raman Spectrosopy in analysis of biological samples.
What is the role of the student?

Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)

Basic physics, biology and mathematical knowledge.
The student can create a poster at the end of the exchange.
