What is the background of the project?
An intriguing characteristic of the eye is its easy accessibility with light-based imaging modalities. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an optical analogue to ultrasound measuring backscattered light with microscopic resolution and allows imaging of moving structures, hence being able to perform angiography to replace invasive and risky conventional fluorescein/indocyanine angiography requiring intravenous application of dye.

The purpose of the project is to apply a novel non-invasive, risk free digital angiography method based on advanced high-resolution OCT technology in leading ocular diseases such as age-related macular degeneration or diabetic retinopathy

Optical Coherence Tomography, computer programs (e.g. LabView) ; details will be explained
