What is the background of the project?
AAT Research Ltd. is a research company focusing on the production of commercially-viable medical technologies. Students taking part in this project can therefore expect to take part in the idealization, creation and testing of such prototypes.
What is the aim of the project?
The aim of the project is to provide assistance in the creation of medical-based technology products and troubleshooting such products via clinical trials.
What techniques and methods are used?

Although the techniques and methods to be used are dynamic regarding to the exact technology that the project will be based on, one is expected to use conventional techniques used in bioengineering, running of clinical trials and collection of data from such trials.
What is the role of the student?
- The student will mainly observe
- The tasks will be done under supervision
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
Although the techniques and methods to be used are dynamic regarding to the exact technology that the project will be based on, one is expected to use conventional techniques used in bioengineering, running of clinical trials and collection of data from such trials.
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
1
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
- No specific outcome is expected
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
Although not obligatory, a basic understanding in bioengineering and neuroscience will be beneficial. Since this research is based in a commercial company, the student might be expected to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure that all intellectual properties created by the company are respected and protected.
Are there any legal limitations in the student’s involvement
No
