What is the background of the project?
Aurora a kinase is a cell cycle regulating kinase responsible for centrosome regulation and mitotic spindle formation. Aurora a kinase expresson in colorectal carcinoma is associated with tumor progression/ disease recurrence.
What is the aim of the project?
To evaluate the immunohistochemical expression of aurora a kinase in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded sections from colorectal carcinoma and its relation to histological subtype, clinical stage and survival.
What techniques and methods are used?
Immunohistochemistry, image analysis system.
