Type of Research Project
- Basic science
What is the background of the project?
The aim of the project is to demonstrate quantitative and qualitative effects of an elective course on human anatomy learning in biomedical students and to get insight in students’ concepts and misconcepts in human anatomy. The student gains profound knowledge of a particular anatomical region and understands the relationship with clinical work.

The student gains profound knowledge of a particular anatomical region and understands the relationship with clinical work.
What techniques and methods are used?
The student is trained in several anatomical technique: dissection, making corrosion casts, cross-sectional techniques…
What is the role of the student?
- If the project includes “lab work”
- the student will take active part in the practical aspect of the project
- The tasks will be done under supervision
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
- To acquire in-depth knowledge on the different anatomical regions of the human body - To learn the different techniques of dissection and their application to different anatomical regions of the human body.
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
No
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
- The student will prepare a poster
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
The student must have passed all of his anatomy subjects
Are there any legal limitations in the student’s involvement
No
