What is the background of the project?
Reactive oxygen and nitrogen species are associated with degenerative diseases, diabetes, inflammation and aging process. We are focusing on the effects of oxidative stress on the functions in various tissues.

We will be mainly using PCR, cell cultures, SDS-PAGE, and Western blotting.

We will be mainly using PCR, cell cultures, SDS-PAGE, and Western blotting.
What is the role of the student?

Students will perform some experiments using research techniques such as PCR, cell cultures and Western blotting
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
A few hours. Students will be provided research seminars and lectures for reading papers for a few hours per week.
