What is the background of the project?
The main focus is on research, develpoment and application of mathematical methods in the fields of analysis of images and videos of microscopy were made to quantify the concentration, morbility, speed, strict morphology and sperm DNA fragmentation. The aim of the project is to allow the country access to cutting-edge technology and diagnostics, reducing operating costs by optimiying the response time, standardizing the quality of analysis und ultimately allowing you select the optimal strategy for treating patients.
What is the aim of the project?

What techniques and methods are used?
Development and application of telecommunication and Internet routines. Using image processing techniques and telemedicine, and how in the field of biomedicine to implement ools for sperm analysis.
What is the role of the student?
- The student will mainly observe
- The student will observe the practical experiments but will be highly involved in the analysis of the results
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
The role of the student will be to actively participate in the research project. As results, it is expected that the student will be able to understand and acquire knowledge in microscopy, digital image analysis and telemedicine.
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
yes, Reading material and an introduction to the topic with members of the project.
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
- The student will prepare a scientific report - The student will have the opportunity to present the results together with the supervisor at a conference
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
The student need knowledge of basic management on computing, calculus and physics. There are no legal restrictions.
Are there any legal limitations in the student’s involvement
