What is the background of the project?
To study the molecular mechanism underlying the effect of matrix metalloprotease-7 proteolytic processing cellular factors to induce the mitophage (mitochondria + autophage) formation during neuron degeneration and tumorigenesis Used Techniques: Molecular cloning, PCR, DNA gel, western blot, transformation, plasmid purification, mammalian neuron cell and cancer cell cultures, immune-fluorecscence staining and fluorescence microscopy analysis.
What is the aim of the project?
To study the molecular mechanism underlying the effect of matrix metalloprotease-7 proteolytic processing cellular factors to induce the mitophage (mitochondria + autophage) formation during neuron degeneration and tumorigenesis
What techniques and methods are used?
Molecular cloning, PCR, DNA gel, western blot, transformation, plasmid purification, mammalian neuron cell and cancer cell cultures, immune-fluorecscence staining and fluorescence microscopy analysis.
What is the role of the student?

What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
We expect students learning the molecular and cell biology techniques in neuron degenerative associated autophagosome research.
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
There will be laboratory meeting for basic knowledge tutoring and data analysis.
