What is the background of the project?
Clinical application of adipose derived stromal cells.
What is the aim of the project?
The aim of the project is to find a cure for osteoarthritis using stem cells.
What techniques and methods are used?
culture, PCR, incubation, GMP cell preparation and also clinical program.
What is the role of the student?
- The student will observe the practical experiments but will be highly involved in the analysis of the results
- The tasks will be done under supervision
- If the project is clinical
- the student will take active part in the clinical examination
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
The role of the student will be the clinical follow up, injection of stromal cells, participation to the project, papers.
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
During his stay, the student will learn microbiological technics : culture, PCR, incubation, GMP cell preparation and also clinical program.
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
- No specific outcome is expected
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
Basic education in clinical trial.
