What is the background of the project?
Informal caregivers are persons who provide unpaid assistance to relatives and friends who have health problems or functional needs (especially elder dependent people). The influence of regular informal caregiving on health is the subject matter of an extensive, yet sometimes inconsistent, literature. Conventional assumption links caregiving to a decline in health through various pathways related to chronic stress, notably depressed immune state, greater cardiovascular reactivity and psychological distress. What is the role of the student?
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
Basic knowledge of statistics and epidemiology methods.
Knowledge of at least one statistical software (SAS, R, SPSS) would be preferable.
Are there any legal limitations in the student’s involvement
