What is the background of the project?
Method: The students would undergo a rotation between the two departments where they learn the procedures undertaken and take part in the tests and lab work done in these departments.
What is the aim of the project?
The aim of this project is to allow the students to familiarise and obtaining first hand experience regarding pathology problems.

Method: The students would undergo a rotation between the two departments where they learn the procedures undertaken and take part in the tests and lab work done in these departments.
What is the role of the student?
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
Role of student: These students will be given the possibility to perform tests usually done in usual routine virological and blood examination. It would be a great experience for any medical student. Also, this rotation is between two very important labs in the hospital, thus they will gain a lot of experience in both these sectors both for their medical knowledge as well as for medical laboratory skills.
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
Although students will be guided by their tutor throughout the exchange, students are expected to do their own literature review in order to have some background of pathology and microbiology.

What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
The student must have at least a background of pathology and microbiology. Own lab coat must be brought with student.
