Stromal compartmentalization of peripheral lymphoid organs-developmental kinetics, supracellular organization
Hungary(HuMSIRC)-University of Pecs,Pecs
Department of Immunology and Biotechnology, University of P
Type of Research Project
- Basic science
What is the background of the project?
The aim of this work is to reveal the formation (kinetics and composition) of mesenchymal domains of the peripheral lymphoid organs in mice, and to investigate the role of lymphoid cells in the regional specification of various stromal elements (fibroblasts, follicular dendritis cells, macrophages etc.) as identified through their phenotypic alterations and localization pattern. The project relies on immunohistochemistry and multicolor immunofluorescence, flow cytometry and the use of mouse strains with various targeted mutations affecting the stromal development of lymphoid tissues.
What is the aim of the project?
The aim of this work is to reveal the formation (kinetics and composition) of mesenchymal domains of the peripheral lymphoid organs in mice.
What techniques and methods are used?
immunohistochemistry and multicolor immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, targeted mutations
