What is the background of the project?
One of the new approaches to fight different types of cancer is to use Viral vectors against solid tumors.
What is the aim of the project?
The main aim of this project, is to create, produce and test adenoviral competent vectors for this kind of tumors.
What techniques and methods are used?
The student will participate with post-grade students in laboratory activities of genic therapy vectors, to do so he will have to aid in tissue culture, tests in animals (primarily mice).
What is the role of the student?
- The tasks will be done under supervision
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
Written report for the end of the exchange
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
- The student will prepare a scientific report
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
Basic knowledge in Oncology, Molecular Biology and Virology
Are there any legal limitations in the student’s involvement
