What is the background of the project?
Transcranial magnetic stimulation is a method used in cases where pharmacological methods aren?t efficiant, e.g. manic disorders, schizophrenia, psychotic attacs. It has been used in our department to find out the real effect of this therapy. The patients are acquainted with procedures which are used in this therapy and they should be able to understand it and make a decision, if they agree with the application of this method in the course of their therapy.

- The student will observe the practical experiments but will be highly involved in the analysis of the results
What are the tasks expected to be accomplished by the student?
Will there be any theoretical teaching provided (preliminary readings, lectures, courses, seminars etc)
What is expected from the student at the end of the research exchange? What will be the general outcome of the student?
What skills are required of the student? Is there any special knowledge or a certain level of studies needed?
Basic knowledge in psychiatrics
Are there any legal limitations in the student’s involvement
