COVID-19 measures:

As of September 2021 we are only accepting students that are fully vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2

Incoming students agree to observe and obey all rules and warnings regarding COVID-19 posted by the Greek government and relative national and international health authorities and further agree to follow, in addition to any supplementary instructions given by HelMSIC, the measures listed below.

  • Have a negative molecular test result (RT-PCR) for COVID-19, performed up to 72 hours before their entry to Greece. PCR testing should be performed in National Reference laboratories, National Public Health Laboratories or Private laboratories which are accredited from the respective national accreditation authorities.

  • Submit to COVID-19 testing throughout their practice included but not limited to weekly COVID-19 tests. The frequency of the testing and further logistical details will be determined by the respective Tutor at the beginning of the practice.

Disclaimer: The expenses for the aforementioned procedures are to be covered entirely by the student.

Furthermore, a Liability Waiver will be sent to the students with their Card of Acceptance that they will have to sign and submit with their Card of Confirmation by uploading it in the “Liability Waiver” field in their Card of Documents. The student should also bring a hard copy of the document upon arrival.

Students should upload their proof of immunization against SARS - CoV - 2 in the respective field in their Card of Documents.

In case a student tests positive for COVID-19, the health protocols that will be in force at the time of the exchange will be followed. Any additional costs that may arise (e.g. accommodation, hospitalization) will be covered entirely by the student or/and their insurance provider.

Application Form
Special Remarks
  • OFFICIAL English language certificate is required. In case of studying in an English-speaking medical school, just a proof of enrollment is also accepted. Certificates that are signed by NEO/NORE, LEO/LORE and informal certificates (by a private, unrecognized institution, self-written notes) will be considered INVALID and your AF may be sent back.
If the student’s level of English is considered as UNSUFFICIENT by the supervising professor or the student refuses to participate in the Skype Call, the Exchange will be cancelled directly!
  • For the students that fail to provide an official certificate there has to be an agreement between the NOREs. In some cases the students will have to participate in an online interview with the LORE of the LC he/she is accepted into so that it can be made certain that the student's level of spoken English is adequate for his/her participation in the research exchange program.
  • Please note that ALL documents MUST be in English.
  • All AFs for July, August and September must be sent before 15th of March. AFs for any of these months sent after this deadline will be rejected so make sure to send them in time.
  • AFs for all other months must be sent at least 4 months prior to the exchange. AFs that are sent after the deadline will immediately be returned, unless agreed upon differently by both NOREs.
  • In the AF all three project options should be filled and at least TWO different Local Committees should be included. (Please make sure that you have checked the available periods for each University/LC.) If you fill projects of the same Local Committee, it doesn't mean that you will be placed there.

We prefer to upload all the necessary documents on .pdf or .jpg forms as we have faced some difficulties on the past trying to open files on other formats.
