Dress code
All students must wear their own lab coat and bring their ID. Some laboratories and hospitals may need you to wear scrubs. Please, ask your Contact Person about any required dresscode. 

Open shoes, shorts or sleeveless shirts are NOT allowed in any of our laboratories and hospitals.

Some projects do not accept graduate students or biomedical students, make sure you check the project database before filling your AF. You must choose two different cities. 

If you don't follow these instructions or apply to projects closed on the period you are coming, your AF might be sent back or you could be placed in a different project. 

All students that need VISA should apply for Tourism Visa. Bolivia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (official website) We provide Invitation Letters.

Some information about the Card of Documents (Preferably written in spanish and .pdf format): 
  • Curriculum Vitae: This must includes personal details, education, research experience, certifications, achievements, skills, hobbies and languages preferably written in spanish instead of english.
  • Passport Copy: a copy of the page which displays the studen's personal details is needed. Students from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela may upload their national identity document instead.
  • Proof of Enrollment: A document to prove the student is enrolled in a Medical School/University is required and must be signed and stamped by the University/Medical School of origin.
  • Student’s record (subjects passed): A document listing the courses the student has completed is necessary and must be signed and stamped by the University/Medical School of origin.
  • Language: Look at language requirements of the research projects (database) you are applying in case they require some level of Spanish. 
  • Motivation Letters and Recommendation Letter: Preferably written in spanish instead of english.

Upon Arrival documents
The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”

- IFMSA Bolivia cannot and will not provide boarding and lodging for any friends, relatives, fiancees or family of incoming students. 

- IFMSA Bolivia reserves the right to cancel any exchange if receives any complains of misconduct or unethical practice both in hospital/lab as well as in the lodgings. 

-The students responsible for such acts are held liable for any damage incurred during the research.
