We only accept clinical students that have successfully finished their first clinical year of medical studies (usually 3rd year of 6 year long studies).
Clinical - after 3rd year of studies!
Hospital dress code required: WHITE or other color of surgical scrubs – coat, shirt, pants, clean hospital slippers, student (university, ISIC card) ID.
We DO accept graduated students but only if they are maximum 1 semester after graduation.
We do place friends as couples if requested but two students maximum can be placed together per LC.
Please note we can NOT provide accommodation for any friends/partners/relatives.

SCOPE aims to give all students the opportunity to learn about global health, and attains this partly by having its exchanges accredited by medical faculties across the world (2014)”.
Student is responsible for getting his/her VISA. Please apply for tourist visa. If you need an official signed and stamped Invitation Letter from our organization or any additional document for your VISA application, you must inform us at least 12 weeks in advance!
IMPORTANT: For countries needing VISA for Slovakia, a substitution might be possible until 10 weeks before the beginning of the clerkship as the time would be too short to organize all VISA documents. Please be aware that VISA procedures take time and that we are not responsible for any delay in VISA issuing caused by substitutions.
ALL LCs: €300. The fee includes lodging and boarding. This money has to be transferred to bank account of the LC the Incoming has been placed in till 1 month AFTER student has received his/her CA. The LEO/NEO will contact the student via email and provide all information needed for payment.
International students ID-card (ISIC) is recommended.
Please remember to regularly check your email addres that you have provided in your Application form.
Your Card of Documents has to be complete when sending the Application Form. Applications without the required documents will NOT be considered.
Vaccination card - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eFEdG8LMAO69VyBSgZStz7ejdliD9JEE Student is required to have undergone all vaccinations according to Immunization laws of Slovak republic, minimum of: Hepatitis B, Morbilli, Mumps, Rubeola, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae - Hib, Poliomyelitis.
Tuberculosis test - Proof of a negative Mantoux skin test in the past 6 months prior to start of the exchange program is sufficient. In case of positivity or if student has undergone Mantoux skin test in the past (excluding Mantoux skin test prior to BCG vaccination), regular chest X-ray in AP projection with an interpretation by a GP/pneumologist or other authorized doctor is necessary.
Health insurance - required by our NMO. Has to be arranged in your country. Valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC card) is sufficient.
Travel insurance - NOT required by our NMO, but highly recommended. As previous, this type of insurance also has to be arranged in your country.
Malpractice insurance - NOT required by our NMO. If you want to arrange one anyway, it has to be arranged in your country.
All application documents HAVE TO be sent by DATABASE (or in case of any problem with database by e-mail to NEO-In) for the period of July - September: till the end of March Meeting, for the rest of the year: at least 3 months before the clerkship starts and have to be in pdf. or jpg. format.
All documents must be OFFICIALLY translated into ENGLISH, have all the necessary Medical Faculty and IFMSA stamps where appropriate!

Language certificate must be provided in English language. LEO/NEO stamped and signed is sufficient.
Students must specify their exact date and time of arrival as well as their flight number in their CC. Not having sent any answer at least 2 weeks before the clerkship starts will mean the definite CANCELLATION OF THE CLERKSHIP.
