Exchange students coming to Iran will be provided with a unique experience of internship in prestigious universities of Iran which are among the bests in the region! Public hospitals in Iran are affiliated to medical universities and the attendings are the faculty members of the universities. The primary healthcare clinics in suburbs and rural areas are also affiliated to medical universities. Therefore, most of our teaching hospitals are secondary or tertiary centers which provides a better learning opportunity for students and a deeper look into the more complicated cases. The clerkships of other healthcare students such as nurses and technicians will take place in the same hospitals, which enriches the multi-disciplinary learning.
Please note that the weekend days in Iran are Thursdays and Fridays.
We do not accept students from March 15th till April 5th due to our New Year’s holidays (Nowruz). It is not recommended to choose an exchange period during Ramdan (14th of April to 14th of May in 2020), as most social programs are not available and boarding may differ.
There are a wide variety of activities that you can do in Tehran. To get to know history of Iran and Tehran in Golestan Palace or Museum of Ancient Iran or see the magnificent Jewelry and National Treasures Museum to a modern view of the whole city from the top of Milad Tower. You can go skiing in Tochal ski resort or go hiking in Darband. Good thing is, traveling is very cheap in Iran and there is thousands of years of history worth seeing. Don’t worry, you’ll have a great time.
Please keep in mind that the dormitory for females and males are located in different places.
All incoming students need an education visa. The university can assist you in arranging the visa. You must fill the visa application form and send it in your card of documents, alongside with a scan of passport, passport-style photograph and proof of enrollment from your university.
Please download the visa application form HERE
Also note that granting a visa by the arrangements of the university is not guaranteed and if not possible, students must apply for the visa themselves.
Please note that the sooner our NEO is informed about the substitution, the sooner the arrangements can be made for visa, thus increasing a timely visa issuance.
Please note that per our religious values and our country’s law, all women are kindly asked to wear the Hijab whenever they are outside or in the public. This includes ankle-length trousers, wrist-length loose-fitting dresses and a headscarf. Although there is tolerance for foreign students, we greatly appreciate your understanding.
