Insurance

Health insurance : It covers expenses linked to health issues. However, this insurance CANNOT be arranged in our country, and MUST be arranged in your home country. ANEMF-France recommends to Incoming Students from the European Union that they ask for a European Health Insurance Card for the period of their clerkship.

Liability insurance : It covers expenses related to damages done to people or material goods by the student outside from his professional duties. We can advice you some online websites where you can find affordable liability insurances, please ask your NEO to contact the French NEO for that.

Malpractice insurance : It covers students if harm is done to a patient during their professional duties.
You don't have to deal with the malpractice insurance, our LEO will insure you freely with a french insurance company. Ask your french LEO when you receive your CA.

Special remarks

It is not always possible to place students in the city they’ve selected. We have limited spots in all of our LCs, especially Paris.
Students are placed according to the date of reception of the AF (first AF sent, first served) and their level of french if they chose an LC where French is cumpulsory.

For some LCs, you will receive a "Convention tripartite"[clerkship agreement] (required by the French administration), that has to be signed by your university, the French university and the French hospital.
If this document is not signed by your university, the clerkship will be canceled.

We only provide lodging for the mentioned period in the CA. If the student wishes to arrive before or after this period, the student must contact their French LEO and CP by email asking for their permission.
