Clerkship Type
- Clinical Clerkship
A clinical clerkship is defined as the rotation of a student in a clinical department of a hospital or clinic, such as Dermatology and Pediatrics.
- Preclinical Clerkship
A preclinical clerkship is defined as the rotation of a student in a preclinical department at a Medical Faculty/School or Hospital, such as Biology and Chemistry

Even if accepted by the hosting country, students must be still enrolled in university by the time the Application Form is sent.

4 weeks, 4 hours a day, 5 days per week

Academic Quality
We will require each student to be equipped with the IFMSA Student Handbook and all the days of his/her clerkship should be signed by the doctor, and lastly according to that booklet the certificate will be given. There may be also some tests or assessments by the supervisor during or at the end of the clerkship for a better quality of Exchanges.

Visa requirements

1) All visitors to Syria have to gain a visa before their entry to Syria.

2) All Arabs can get their visas upon arrival.

3) All other nations need to apply to a visa prior to their entry.

4) In Case if you need a Visa you have : First you have to contact the Syrian Embassy in your country  
and there are Few basic requirements:

  • Valid passport for at least 6 months.
  • Invitation letter. 
  • 2 personal pictures.
  • Visa form Filled.

We don't have insurance system in Syria . You don't need health Insurance or Travel Insurance .
