In Hospital Saint-François de Sales, only French is required. You must be able to communicate fluently in French otherwise the internship can be cancelled. Every student applying from a non-french speaking faculty will need to give a proof of language (English) by means of a certification (English school certificate) (any type of certificates valid) or a video lasting around five minutes, and in which the student talks about him/herself)
Clerkship Type
- Clinical Clerkship
A clinical clerkship is defined as the rotation of a student in a clinical department of a hospital or clinic, such as Dermatology and Pediatrics.
Required level of studies

Participants need to be at least on their 4th years of medicine studies, they must have completed and passed the basic science (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, embriology… ) lecture courses and third and 4th year hospital rotations.

Even if accepted by the hosting country, students must be still enrolled in university by the time the Application Form is sent.

International incoming students must bring their own students handbook (with their objectives and expectations) and hand them to their hosting professor on the 1st day of their clerkship. It is also important to have the curriculum vitae (in french or in english) of your faculty for the department that you will be enrolled. (It’s important for the hospital teachers to have an idea about your knowledge about the department you will be for the next 4 weeks of the exchange)

You will only have your certificate if you complete 80% of the stage program.

Participants will be mixed with students from the local universities. You will be treated just like them, and as such you are expected to see patients and perform certain medical procedures on your own under some supervision.

It’s necessary only for students from Colombia, Dominican Republic, Cuba, China, Panama, Iran, Libye, Vietman and Yemen. We will give you an Invitation Letter to facilitate the process.

The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”
