Clerkship Type
- Clinical Clerkship
A clinical clerkship is defined as the rotation of a student in a clinical department of a hospital or clinic, such as Dermatology and Pediatrics.

We accept only clinical students.

Even if accepted by the hosting country, students must be still enrolled in university by the time the Application Form is sent.

Academic quality is taken very serious. Full attendance is required and participation is encouraged.

Student should adhere to the rules and regulations of the hospital at all times and is required to attend not less than 8 hours a day. Punctuality is required and should have all necessary equipments

Cities Remarks
At the moment the only available College is Kiliminjaro Christian medical university college in Moshi town. Only available town on the outskirts of mount Kilimanjaro (http://www.kcmuco.ac.tz/
Calendar Remarks
The clinical clerkship will be for 4 weeks available throughout the year (October to June) except for the months of December and March.

These will depend on the month of the year that the exchangee will come at, the welcoming commitee arrangements and the preference of the exchangee.
A clear program will be handed with the welcoming package about the social program during the period of stay.
These activities are subject to the Period/Season of the year, Accessibility of the activity and the Availability if the LEOs and Contact Persons
Possible Activities include:
Welcome/Farewell Dinner (self catered), , Camping, Safari Game drives;Mt Kilimanjaro mountain climbing (to be organized by a trusted tour operator and to be payed for by the student.)

Payment details for unilateral fee
Payment MUST be made to the LEO ONLY upon arrival. Failure to do so will result to no accommodation and registration. 
Visa requirements
Students are required to get a Bussines Visa (BV) to able to be accepted at any hospital for clinical clerkship. This Visa can be purchased at any entry point into Tanzania. The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”
Immunization requirements
All students are required to get all important immunization such as Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis. All students are recommended to have Malaria prophylaxis with them. 

Insurance
A student is required to purchase a health Insurance that will be valid for all the exchange period, this MANDATORY.
It is recommended that students purchase their Liabilty insurances despite that it is not mandatory.

  • Substitute student’s documents’ should be sent to Incoming NEO
  • Substitutions can be made until few weeks before clerkship starts
  • Subtitutes must be for the same period
