MUST SEE
Topkapi Palace: 15th century palace located beside the Bosphorus was where the sultans of the Ottoman Empire ruled up until the 19th century. The architecture and the jewels of that time is a must see.
Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii): A classic Ottoman mosque with a garden leading to Hagia Sophia. It's a walking distance to Topkapi Palace and Basilica Cistern.
Basilica Cistern (Yerebatan Sarniçi): Once stored the imperial supply for Byzantine emperors built in 6th century. The Medusa stones are worth a visit.
Hippodrome: Was begun in AD 203 and completed in AD 330. This place was center of Byzantine public life.
Istanbul Archaeology Museum: Very close to Topkapi Palace and very important museum contains the history of this region.
Grand Bazaar (Kapali Çarsi): Grand Bazaar makes you feel like you are shopping in a museum. It's a massive covered market.
Dolmabahçe Palace: It replaced Topkapi Palace as the main residence of the sultans.
Galata Tower: Built in 14th century and one of the Istanbul's most recognizable landmarks.
Taksim Square: İstiklal Caddesi (Independence Street) is a shopping street with restaurants and cafes. Also it is home to many churches and old buildings.
Maiden's Tower: Istanbul's Asian shore is easily reached by ferry from Eminönü dock across the Bosphorus. And this building has its own unique legend.
