La Inmaculada Concepción de Loja is the capital of the Loja province. It’s located in the south of Ecuador at about 2060 meters above sea level. Loja is known as the cultural city of Ecuador, because it has been, and continues to be the birthplace of all kind of artists, especially musicians. Its privileged location, its historical center, its tourist attractions and its people, makes Loja one of the bests cities of the Ecuador to know and live the complete experience of Ecuador.
Universidad Nacional de Loja, founded in 1859 was one of the first universities in Ecuador that has historically delivered professionals who contribute to local, national and international social development. Currently, he offers 35 third level career distributed in five faculties.

We provide Host Families, which are the families of the students that are part of AEMPPI UNL. We make sure that the family has a single room for the incoming, or share a room with a roommate, who is a member of the host family, at cost of the hosting association.
City buses cover the main thoroughfares and cost just 30 cents per trip. Since the city is not that big, taxi rides are usually between $2 and $3.
