OVERVIEW

¡huanuco, city of eternal spring !

UNIVERSITY AND HOSPITALS

The hospital "Hermilio Valdizan" belonging to the Minsa is a model public health service hospital and the EsSalud hospital is a private system with enough environments for professional development . Both with the objective of teaching.

Our scientific society carries out prevention activities and presents research projects.

The Regional Hospital of Huánuco and EsSalud-Huánuco, has the necessary laboratories to perform a correct diagnosis of the patient and provide adequate knowledge to the student.

BOARDING

Your lodging will be at a host family. They will provide you at least two meals per day. They and your contact person will make your transportation to downtown and your hospital easy.

LODGING

You will be staying in the student's family home. You will have basic services: water, electricity, internet, etc. It is only asked to respect and comply with the rules of coexistence of the house in which you stay.

You must contact the LEO and the host as soon as you receive your reception card, you can ask any questions.

TRANSPORTATION

The easiest way to get to the city is by bus (we recommend GYM or Turismo Real, for the safety of your luggage) or you can also hire some private mobility.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION:

- Collective Cars. There are many collective cars on the city; there are many routes so you can easily go wherever you want. The fare is like 0.3 dollar.

- Mototaxis. They are typical cars of some cities. They are very cheap, is like 0.5 dollars.

- Taxis. They are expensive but safer and fast, you can take a taxi if you are late or at midnight for example. The fare is like 2 dollars.

SOCIAL PROGRAM

We have an excellent social program, with two activities per week, including parties, dinners, adventure sports, walks.

The student can schedule trips outside the city on his own, for which we can guide him. Students can travel to Tingo Maria, Huaraz, Cusco (they are our recommendations).

KOTOSH


It is considered one of the oldest temples in Peru and in America (dating from 4000 years ago), since it was investigated in 1958 by the archaeological mission of the University of Tokyo by Dr. Seiichi Izumi

ATRACTION No 2


Tingo María is a city on the Huallaga River, in central Peru, between the Andean mountains and the Amazon jungle. Here is the Tingo María National Park that has an abundant biodiversity and is known for the Sleeping Beauty, a mountain in the shape of a woman lying down. In addition, here is the Cueva de las Lechuzas, which houses birds called "guacharos". Some of the local waterfalls are Santa Carmen, with a natural pool, and Gloriapata, which is accessed through a suspended bridge

Archaeological complex of Huánuco


Archaeological complex of Huánuco  is located 134 kilometers from the city. It is an ancient Inca city  that shows streets, houses and buildings.

In addition to the east side, there is the Inca Wasi which was the Inca residence and another part the Baños del Inca.





Archaeological Complex of Garu or Yarowilca:


The Archaeological Complex of Garu or Yarowilca  was considered a political and administrative center of the Yarowilcas, one of the most organized settlements of the pre-Inca period.

It is located in the foothills of the central mountain range called ”Cóndor waganan” . It is characterized by its streets in the form of labyrinths, currently marked for tourists .

TINGO MARÍA
