It is a must to have 2 negative COVID-19 PCR tests.
The First PCR Test : All international passengers traveling to Turkey are required to have acquired a
COVID-19 PCR test with a negative result within 72 hours prior to their flight. You must submit your
test result to the airline at the time of check-in.We highly recommend you to have at least 2 copies of
your PCR test as it can be requested by the Turkish border authorities.
The Second PCR Test : All incoming students are required to have acquired a COVID-19 PCR test
with a negative result 48 hours prior to the start of their internship at the hospital.
COVID-19 PCR tests are available for anyone who wishes to be administered one in Turkey for a fee
at the moment. The fee may vary depending on the testing location. Further information on specific
testing sites is in the following title.
● Passengers arriving in Turkey will be required to complete an information form and will be
checked for symptoms. Anyone suspected of having COVID-19 will be transported to a
hospital for examination or to a dormitory to self-isolate. You should be aware that you will
be quarantined in case of suspicion. In such a situation, we strongly recommend that you
enter the country at least 14 days beforehand as TurkMSIC will not extend exchanges or
accommodation should incomings get quarantined.
● TurkMSIC or our LC does not cover the fees for the following situations. You must come to
the country by accepting these conditions.

UNIVERSITY AND HOSPITALS

Our hospital contains 273 patient beds. It has 3 buildings. On the photo you can see the 2 of it. Also has 24 specialized patient rooms.

 

Our PEDIATRICS and GYNECOLOGY blocks are In a dIfferent area and building. It takes 15 minutes from the main hospital.

SCOPE ACTIVITIES

  We had a domestic exchange In our country. 8 medical students came for the exchange.

 

 We started an activity called "Let's Speak English".This Is an English course that just contains knowledge of speaking English.We don't teach grammer.We play games ,learn new words, idioms, speak with groups ,watch films together to improve on English more and more.Our teacher is one of our Scope assistants.So this Is totally an education with students.

               

RESEARCH PROJECTS AND LABS
We have biochemistry and parasitology labs at the school and a microbiology lab at the hospital. We have anatomy lab in school.
BOARDING
IN WEEKDAYS: Lunch inside the hospital cafeteria. In the winter time you can eat lunch and dinner in school also you can eat breakfast and dinner in dormitory. In summer there are no meals in the dormitory. IN WEEKENDS: You are free you can eat wherever you want in Ordu.
LODGING

It depends on which student dormitory is on duty in summer. You can contact our exchange team for detailed information.

TRANSPORTATION

You can take the plane to come to Ordu. But first you should come to Istanbul.

After that you can take a plane to Ordu or the bus to Ordu.

IF PLANE: There are flights from ISTANBUL AIRPORT (ISTANBUL), SABIHA GOKCEN AIRPORT (ISTANBUL), ESENBOGA AIRPORT (ANKARA) to ORDU GIRESUN AIRPORT (ORDU).

If you choice plane you will use HAVAS bus to coming city central

SOCIAL PROGRAM

Firstly we will have a meeting dinner/party in order to get to know each other because we can't wait to meet every one of you. Then, our team will take you the historical places In Ordu. Also we will have a lot of fun!! Since pandemic restrictions are a bit loose now, hopefully we will go to listening to live music, enjoyable places that you will never forget. And we will drink tea (Turkish çay) at Boztepe. So what are you waiting for?? Buy your tickets and exchange to Ordu. My friend we are waiting for you and very excited about this whole experience.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Ordu has a borderline oceanic/humid subtropical climate (Koppen climate classification: Cfb/Cfa), like most of the eastern Black Sea coast of Turkey, with warm and humid summers and cool and damp winters. Ordu has a high and evenly distributed precipitation throughout the year. Precipitation Is heaviest in autumn and spring. Snowfall is quite common between the months of December and March, snowing for a week or two, and it can be heavy once it snows.

The water temperature, like in the rest of the Black Sea coast of Turkey, is always cool and fluctuates between 8 and 20 °C (46 and 68 °F) throughout the year.
