OVERVIEW

RESEARCH PROJECTS AND LABS
Labs and Practice 
Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia campus Medellín has 2 practical learning  environments, molecular biology laboratory and morphological laboratory also there is a clinical simulation laboratory to practis clinical skills. These spaces are available Monday to Friday between 6am and 6pm for the entire university community. 
Research Protects 
There are different groups divided into clinical sciences and basic sciences, classified by Colciencias as A1, the highest national classification in research groups

Airports:
* José María Córdova International Airport (MDE): The Airport is located in the city of Rionegro, only 35 kilometres east of Medellín. Frequent public transport connects the Airport with the city, 24 hours a day.

* Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH): The Airport offers connections to the main cities of  Colombia. Here only local airlines operate.

Bus
 
Medellín has two bus terminals located in the north and south of the city. Depending on the destination, they offer connection services to the main cities of the country.

Local Bus, Metro and Tram
The public transport network of Medellín is composed of buses, tram, metro, metrocable and metroplus. The last three are fully integrated into the metro system of the city. The metro consists of two lines, one that runs through the city from north to south and another that runs from the centre to the west.
You can access public transportation with CIVICA card or cash, to 2020 the price for one trip by bus is $2300 COP / $63 cents US and for  metro trip is $2855 COP with one connection.

Taxi
In Medellín there are more than 30 companies that provide taxi services. It is always recommended to ask for them through a phone call to the different taxi companies, directly from the place you are located. You can find also find Uber, Cabify, Didi, Beat, Pick Up and Grin

SOCIAL PROGRAM

Libraries of great architectural interest, natural parks and new means of transport such as Metrocable, are just some of the attractions that you can find on your tour of the city. Medellín has a diversity of plans to offer you: Plaza Botero with the exuberant creations of Colombian artist Fernando Botero, Pueblito Paisa and its small colorful houses, the seven hills with their wonderful view over the city. You can also travel to the towns near the city as El Peñol and Guatapé where you will find a place known as the Best View in the World, also other towns like Jericó, Santa Fe de Antioquia, Jardín and El Carmen de Viboral.

Currency
The official currency in Colombia is the Colombian Peso (COP). There are five different coins of 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 pesos. There are seven types of notes of 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000 and 100,000.
