Salamanca is a region of Castilla y Leon. It is also the name of the municipality that contains the city. Salamanca contains a very rich architectural history, with many buildings dating back to the early medieval period.

- Hungtinton disease and cystic fibrosis. Basic investigation to know about therapeutic action and also provide genetic counseling to affected patients
- Different research on hereditary cancer diseases in order to provide genetic counseling to patients and explore possible ways of therapeutic action
- Cancer and stem cells: basic investigation about the behaviour of stem cells as well as possible applications in cancer treatment.
How to get here: you can flight to Madrid and come to Salamanca by bus or by train. In any case we will wait for you at the station to take you to the student flat. There are a lot of buses and trains from Salamanca to go almost every place you want.
Salamanca has lots of buldings and places to visit like the Cathedral, Calixto and Melibea's garden, Salamanca's big square, Casa de las conchas and all the buildings that belong to the ancient University.
Salamanca is a city well situated so you can visit other important towns like Zamora, Ávila, Ciudad Rodrigo etc.
