Moscow is a major political, economic, cultural, and scientific center of Russia, as well as the largest city entirely on the European continent.
Moscow's architecture is world-renowned. Moscow is the site of Saint Basil’s Cathedral, with its elegant onion domes, as well as the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the Seven Sisters. The first Kremlin was built in the middle of the 12th century. There are 96 parks and 18 gardens in Moscow, including four botanical gardens. There are also many theatres, including the most famous The Bolshoi Theatre.
The clerkship will be arranged in Moscow Clinical Research Centre (МКНЦ). During our hospital exchange students can learn a lot, all the doctors are happy to teach them some basic surgical technics or give explanations in internal medicine departments. We also have a DaVinci machine and laparoscopic simulators.

Infectious diseases
The aims of the project are:
1. To analyze the lymphocytic immune system in the acute GI infection.
2. To discover the role of lymphocytes in the development of post-infectious complications and chronic inflammatory bowel disease.
The student will assist in the immunological laboratory (and biopsies) with the cell culture and samples, running abovementioned. The student will study the results with the use of statistical analysis.

Keep in mind that sometimes it may take more than an hour to get from your place of stay to the hospital - this is the way most of us live in Moscow and it is ok for such a big city.
There are three primary commercial airports serving Moscow: Sheremetyevo International Airport, Domodedovo International Airport, and Vnukovo International Airport. We advise you to take the cheapest and the most convenient flights for you without airport consideration. They have no major differences.
Moscow has several train stations serving the city and nine rail terminals. They are located close to the city center, but each handles trains from different parts of Europe and Asia.
Moscow is a lively city, full of things to see and places to visit, from the Kremlin to lots of spots for shopping and sightseeing. It is a mixture of historical and contemporary sights. You can shop, engage in cultural activities in the capital of music and theatre, or simply be captivated by the beautiful surroundings of Moscow.
