Oradea is the capital city of the Bihor County and of the Crisana region, is one of the important centers of economic, social and cultural development in the western part of Romania, retaining these characteristics throughout history. The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Oradea
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Oradea is located in Piata 1 Decembrie. It has two sections, one for the Romanian and one for the international students. The international section which has over 500 students from all over the world gives the ability to foreign students to study medicine, in courses taught entirely in the English language.
The clinical courses are taking place in the Bihor County Hospital, the Municipality Hospital and the Pelican Hospital.
After an initiative of the Dean of the Faculty, the Leiden method is applied in the students' formation, in which medical students are given the ability to present the topics of their lectures, supervised by their professors.
