Getting there: You can arrive to Veracruz by bus or plane and If we are asked, we can pick you up on airport or bus station. Just only please inform us about your arrival date and hour!
If you decide travel from Mexico City to Veracruz by bus. You should arrive to the East Mexico City Bus Station (TAPO). You have to talk with your LEO because; maybe he can help you to arrive to this station. If you get to Mexico City, you can grab a bus to Veracruz´s terminal at a cost about $500.00MX in a travel time of 4 hrs.
Inside the city of Xalapa, the public transport is cheap with different routes that can easily transport you safely, with a price of $6.00MX for students and $9.00MX for general public.
The taxis are also a good option because they’re cheap, $35MX is the minimal price, of course it depends the distance.

For every exchange it´s mandatory to fill the evaluation form and write a report about your activities at the hospital during your exchange in order to get your certificate. Otherwise, you won´t get it.
All students must wear appropriate clothes for the hospital, closed white shoes, white shirts and pants, white coat and stethoscope, also bring your surgical scrub for enter the surgeries Don’t forget your IFMSA logbook/notebook, your LEO must give it to you to fill it about your practice in the hospital and in order to receive the certificate.
The clinical rotation is from Monday to Friday, the time can be varied depending on the area, but never more than 8 hrs per day. You can do nighshifts if you decide it. Saturday and Sunday are free for social program.
Not everybody in the hospital speak English, so you have to speak basic Spanish for having communication in the hospital and with patients. But don’t worry we’ll always be there to help.
