If you arrived at the Narita Airport, I would recommend you to come to Kofu Station by bus. Bus travel is the easiest way to get to Kofu for travelers. You will buy the ticket at the ticket office on the 1stfloor in Narita Airport, and go to the designated bus stop. Buses depart from the 1stfloor of both terminals, but the bus-stop numbers are different at the different terminal. The number of the bus stop is 7in Terminal 1,and 11in Terminal 2. If you take a train, you have to get on Tokyo Monorail at first and go to Hamamatsucho Station. The train entrance gate you will use is close to the arrival lobby. After arriving at Hamamatsucho Station, you had better buy the ticket to Kofu Station at Ticket Reservation Office, whose name is “Midori no madoguchi.”And then, take a ride on Yamanote Line train, whose color is green and gray, and go to Shinjuku Station. The platform-number you will use in Hamamatsucho Station is 3. Subsequently, go aboard the limited express train (the name of train is Azusa or Kaiji) and you will arrive at Kofu Station. Get out of the ticket gate, go to the South Exit, and then you will find the Statue of Shingen. Please wait beside the statue.

In July and August we organize some programs every week. Traditionally we climb Mt. Fuji, which is the highest mountain in Japan. At the top of the mountain, we can see beautiful and magnificent scenery and pray to the rising sun. Next, we are planning a trip to Kyoto and Osaka. You can enjoy traditional Japanese cultures there. If you want to go to Tokyo on the weekend, our ifmsa’s members will take you the nice place to meet your requirements. We want to have a good time with you, so please tell us what you want to do!

There are many things to do in Yamanashi. First, you should climb Mt. Fuji which is the highest mountain in Japan and the symbol of Japan. On the top of  the mountain, you can see beautiful and magnificent scenery and pray to the rising sun. Next, we recommend to go to “Fujikyuu”,which is the biggest amusement park. You can get on scary rides. There are many awesome roller coasters. Please check the URL : https://www.fujiq.jp/en/ There are also many hot springs. Especially we often go to “hottarakasi” hot spring. It open from am 4:30 to pm 11:00, so we can see both sunrise and sunset.

We ask SCOPE students to fill out immunization record.
