Split is Croatia's second-largest city. Split is a great place to see Dalmatian life as it’s lived. Always buzzing, this exuberant city has just the right balance between tradition and modernity. Step inside Diocletian’s Palace (a Unesco World Heritage Site and one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments) and you’ll see dozens of bars, restaurants and shops thriving amid the old atmospheric walls where Split has been humming along for thousands of years.
The School of Medicine in Split was established as an independent faculty on 27th March 1997. It is one of the components of the University of Split which has approximately 24 thousand students. The School of Medicine building complex is located in the vicinity of the University Campus. Clinical classes are held at the University Hospital which is situated at two nearby locations – Firule and Krizine.

Please, bring one small photo and proof of your student status so you can make a monthly bus ticket that covers all four bus zones in Split(that will get you to Trogir and Omiš as well). It is quite cheap; it cost less than 15 €.
