- Hospital de Puerto Montt
Provided by a Host family. It might happen that during peak months (January, July or August) we aren't able to provide host families to all the students, and in that case a dorm with pocket money ($2000 per worked day) will be provided.
Public transport here goes in two ways, in buses or taxis, each one has its own route. The taxi fare depends on the place of departure and arrival, but generally it cost over $600-700 CLP.
The bus fare is worth $500, but it still depends on where the bus starts.
To get to the hospital, there are yellow buses that pass through the center, and they say ‘hospital’ on their sign. There are also others with a green sign that go through the hospital, but not through the center.
In general, you can get to the center from anywhere from $600 to $800 chilean pesos, and from the center to the hospital a taxis of $600 pesos. That is the easiest route.
The uber option may be a little more expensive, it varies from $5000 to $10000 CLP to get to the hospital.
