Rio Branco, capital of the state of Acre. Located in the valley of the Acre River in northern Brazil, it is the most populous municipality in the state, with 319,825 inhabitants – almost half the state population, according to the 2016 census.
Rio Branco was one of the first settlements to appear on the banks of the Acre River. In 1913 it became a county. In 1920 it became the capital of the territory of Acre, and in 1962, the state capital. It is the administrative center for the economic and cultural region.

You can get to the Acre capital by plane, car or bus. At the destination, getting to know the main sights and central neighborhoods can be done through rental cars, buses and taxis.
Gol maintain direct flights to Rio Branco from Porto Velho (RO) and Cruzeiro do Sul (AC), where travelers from other capital should be scale. TAM maintains direct flights to Rio Branco from Brasilia.

Museu da Borracha This rubber museum has a collection of publications and documents that tell the story of the rubber tappers in Acre.
