In Bolivia there are good medical installations, but the quality of the services that provide and availability are not the best.
For the most part, we have hospitals and clinics run by the state, which are characterized( depending on the level of attention) for having the basic medical equipment needed and for being very crowded, which leads to wait a long time for medical attention. Sometimes some of the medical facilities are not equipped to handle the most serious conditions that need higher technology equipment.
The Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Mayor de San Simon (UMSS) and Biomedical Research institute (IIBISMED) promotes health research with equipped laboratories whit and excellent investigators in different medical areas.
Maybe if you show motivation when you work whit them, other doctors could include you in other research projects to work whit them. You are going to learn a lot from the knowledge, experience and dedication of our investigators.
