Each project in the database has its own academic requirements. Depending on the local committee, each student must have basic knowledge of the department they with to participate in. 

All students must have and/or present the following:
  • Basic research skills
  • Previous lecture of provided articles
  • Poster presentation at the end of the exchange
  • PowerPoint presentation at the end of the exchange

Dress code
Most of our Local Committees don't ask for anything else than casual clothes and a white coat; you can bring formal clothes as well if you prefer so. Also, you can be requested to bring your scrubs. No open shoes, shorts or sleevless shirts are allowed in any of our laboratories and hospitals.

Social Program
Each local committee is in charge of organizing a social program. From taking you to the local cultural touristic places to organizing parties with the incomings. Depending on the month, there may be a regional social program for which your contact person will provide the necessary information before you arrive. You can check more on this through our <a href="../../../explore/nmo/379755">ExPlore page</a>. Our regional or national social program is coordinated together with SCOPE.
Special Remarks
  • If you are allergic to certain foods or prefer to bring or buy your own food, you can specify so in your motivational letter
  • Depending on the research project you are applying to, you may be requested to bring your stethoscope and sphygmomanometer
  • IFMSA-Honduras cannot and will not provide accommodation or boarding for any friends, relatives, fiances or family of incoming students.
  • IFMSA-Honduras reserves the right to cancel any exchange if we recieve any complains of misconduct or unethical practice both in hospital/lab as well as in the lodgings.

The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”

Depending on the project or institution. An online invitation letter can be requested at any time. Please make sure that you keep in touch with your contact persos via one of their contacts sent on the CA.

Card of confirmation must be sent 4 weeks before the start of the exchange unless any kind of agreement is met between the LORE and the exchange student. Regardless of this, CC must be sent with no exceptions as it is necessary for filling your evaluation form.

Special remarks
Health insurance is optional to the student. If he/she wants to purchase one, we will have offers from different Health Programs so the student can choose that one that suits him/her well. This insurance package information will be available as soon as possible. 

We don't ask for Travel Insurance because this depends on the incoming student. It's his/her responsibliity.

- Vaccination Card
- International certification of vaccination against the yellow fever.

Special remarks
It is recommended that you have a vaccination against Hepatitis B, Influenza, Chickenpox, and Pneumococcus (besides the basic vaccination protocol). Please, bring your International certification of vaccination against the yellow fever, especially if you are or have been in an endemic zone prior to the exchange.

The deadline for substitutions or cancellations is 4 weeks before the exchange starts

Please inform us as soon as possible. If there is no substitution 2 weeks before the exchange starts, there will be no refund. We can rearrange your incoming for another time of the year. Just inform us as soon as possible.
