SEXUAL CONVICTION RECORD: some spanish institutions, in order to give access to a profession involving children (such as in a hospital), require a negative certificate from the National Registry of Sex Offenders (Sexual Conviction Record), stating that you haven't been sentenced for any crime against sexual freedom (abuse or assault), any sexual harassment, any exhibitionism or sexual provocation, any human trade crime or any issue regarding prostitution, sexual exploitation or corruption of children. Currently the LCs of Granada, Murcia, Málaga, Valencia and Valladolid require this certificate. In the future, this special document will likely be mandatory for every hospital.
We can only accept the certificate if written in either ENGLISH or SPANISH.
If a Sexual Conviction Record doesn't exist in your country and/or you don't have a National Registry of Sex Offenders, you have to upload a Police Clearance Report as alternative document in your Card of Documents, then you will have to obtain the Sexual Conviction Record once you come to Spain. In order to do so, you will have to go the Delegation of Justice of your hosting city with the hard copy of your Passport (ID is also fine if you are a citizen of the Schengen Area) and the Police Clearance Report, then you will receive the official document from the Ministry in some days. We recommend you to ask your hosting LEO for any help in relation to the procedure for obtaining the Record and for finding the office of the Delegation of Justice.
