The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”
As NMO we do not ask  any kind of insurance (except for the health insurance) thus the exchange student is not required to be insured for, it should be arranged in your home country if wanted, we do not have this type of insurance in our country.

- There are some LCs that require liability insurance: Valencia, Zaragoza, Salamanca, Cádiz, Granada, Murcia, Madrid Complutense, Málaga, Córdoba, Madrid Rey Juan Carlos and Albacete. LEOs will ask you and help you to get a liability Insurance once you have been accepted in these LCs. Other Local Committees may ask you as well depending on the Department you choose.

-Health insurance: compulsory for all the cities upon arrival!

8 Weeks

Special remarks
- Spanish or English speaking countries DO NOT need to upload the certificate.

- Graduated students ARE accepted (under conditions written in the SCOPE Regulations).

-Both the AF and all the documents in the CoD must be properly filled (complete and signed in PDF or JPEG), including the PharmFree document and the latest TC document.

- If all the documents are not in PDF o JPEG and/or there are incorrectly filled, the application will be sent back. No spots will be saved if sent back.

-Some cities may ask you for extra documents: Motivation Letters, Recommendation Letter or Curriculum Vitae. If the student fails sending these documents the exchange will be immediately cancelled.

-Santiago de Compostela: Xunta de Galicia official document signed and stamped stating that the student has finished at least 50% of the studies. It will be provided by the Local Officer.

-Murcia: 30€ will be asked as a refund for the accommodation, as well as non refundable 15€ for the air conditioner if needed. Criminal record is also necessary.

Valencia: asks for a hard copy passport photo upon arrival.

SEXUAL CONVICTION RECORD: some spanish institutions, in order to give access to a profession involving children (such as in a hospital), require a negative certificate from the National Registry of Sex Offenders (Sexual Conviction Record), stating that you haven't been sentenced for any crime against sexual freedom (abuse or assault), any sexual harassment, any exhibitionism or sexual provocation, any human trade crime or any issue regarding prostitution, sexual exploitation or corruption of children. Currently the LCs of Granada, Murcia, Málaga, Valencia and Valladolid require this certificate. In the future, this special document will likely be mandatory for every hospital.
We can only accept the certificate if written in either ENGLISH or SPANISH.
If a Sexual Conviction Record doesn't exist in your country and/or you don't have a National Registry of Sex Offenders, you have to upload a Police Clearance Report as alternative document in your Card of Documents, then you will have to obtain the Sexual Conviction Record once you come to Spain. In order to do so, you will have to go the Delegation of Justice of your hosting city with the hard copy of your Passport (ID is also fine if you are a citizen of the Schengen Area) and the Police Clearance Report, then you will receive the official document from the Ministry in some days. We recommend you to ask your hosting LEO for any help in relation to the procedure for obtaining the Record and for finding the office of the Delegation of Justice.
