Clerkship Type
- Clinical Clerkship
A clinical clerkship is defined as the rotation of a student in a clinical department of a hospital or clinic, such as Dermatology and Pediatrics.
Required level of studies
Should finish pre-clerkship/university studies before coming to an exchange. 
Meaning that we accpet student who are about to start their clinical experience after the exchgange, and those who are in their clinical years. Otherwise, we cant accept them.

Even if accepted by the hosting country, students must be still enrolled in university by the time the Application Form is sent.

Academic Quality
The Students are placed in teams with Doctors and other medical students from the university, the team leader is usually the supervisor doctor for the exchange students.
The supervisor doctors are informed beforehand of the incoming exchange students and expect the students to start their rotations the first day of the accepted exchange start day.
The Quality of teaching the exchange students recieve is equal to that of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) medical students, assuring the best possible clinical learning experience.
The education system that the students would join has been accredited by the Association for Medical Education in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (AMEEMR) in Association with World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), plus the hospital, Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, has been accredited by Accreditation Canada International.

Sundays to Thursday are the workdays and the student is required to be in the hospital from 8am to 4pm. Some departments may require their students to do on-calls on workdays or weekends.
Dress: Shirt and NO tie for men as well as scrubs (Royal blue – Sky blue – Maroon). Appropriate and professional dress for women (no short skirt or sleeveless shirts) as well as scrubs (Royal blue – Sky blue – Maroon). The hospital regulations require that the students must wear white coats.
Students are required to full out the IFMSA student handbook, and attend at least 80% of their clerkship (16 working days) to receive a certificate.

Students should apply for a long stay tourist visa (30 days).

For students requiring visa (that cannot apply for a tourist visa) a valid passport, health insuarence, a personal photograph and SQU visa application form (sent upon request) is needed.

Upon Arrival documents

The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”
Immunization requirements
Immunization Record: our college requires its own immunization record, any other type of immunization record will not be accepted. here is the link to the record: Student Immunization Record.

Insurance
As NMO we require health insurance however, this insurance CANNOT be arranged in our country, and should be arranged in your home country.

For "other" it is the Student Exchange Form. it is a mandatory document from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) College of medcine and health sciences adminestration, without it the exchange program cannot take place. 
while filling it leave sections B2 and D empty, make sure that the text is clear and understandable. otherwise it will not be accepted.
