Please note that the exact schedules (including attendance) will be set by departments. If a student fails to respect the working conditions of their department, the clerkship, including boarding and lodging, will be terminated.
  • Students are assigned to either residents or attending physicians, depending on the department and rotation.
  • To acquire an IFMSA certificate, students must have completed 80% of their clerkships and must have filled the IFMSA evaluation form on the database as well as the student logbook. In some LCs, students may be required to fill separate evaluation forms for specific aspects of the exchange that the IFMSA form does not tackle.

  • Exchange students are not covered by malpractice insurance in hospitals because they mainly act as observers. Therefore, students are expected to act as observers except in specific cases where the departments/physicians assign tasks to the students.
