The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”
Immunization requirements
Read the specific LC's ECs in which you are interesting for.

Insurance
HEALTH INSURANCE Health insurance is COMPULSORY in all the Local Committees and must be uploaded in the Card of Documents immediately after receiving the CA and then shown to the LEO upon arrival. This insurance can also be arranged in Italy upon arrival, but we definitely prefer to receive the policy in advance. If you are a student from a country of the European Union (EU), or from a country of the European Economic Area (EEA) or from Switzerland, then you don't need to draw up a health insurance policy as you should own a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). In this case you have to upload the EHIC on the Card of Documents and bring it with you during the exchange.
ACCIDENT INSURANCE Accident insurance is COMPULSORY in all the Local Committees and must be uploaded in the Card of Documents immediately after receiving the CA and then shown to the LEO upon arrival. This insurance can also be arranged in Italy upon arrival, but we definitely prefer to receive the policy in advance. In some cases and in some LCs the student can be insured directly from the hospital where the internship will take place, therefore we suggest you to discuss the topic with your hosting LEO right after receiving the CA.
TRAVEL INSURANCE Travel insurance is NOT required by SISM Italy, as it's not necessary for doing an internship in Italy. If you wish to draw up a travel insurance policy, you must do it on your own but you can ask your hosting LEO for any advice.
LIABILITY INSURANCE Liability insurance is COMPULSORY in all the Local Committees and must be uploaded in the Card of Documents immediately after receiving the CA and then shown to the LEO upon arrival.
MALPRACTICE INSURANCE Malpractice insurance is NOT required by SISM Italy, as only people who have the official responsibility of performing a medical procedure (health professionals) can draw up a malpractice insurance policy. Since medical students are not yet qualified to practice the medical profession, you cannot be insured with this type of policy and it's not possible to draw it up in Italy if you are a student.

If you need more informations on the types of insurances in SCOPE and their applicability to the italian context, please consult the following document: SISM Italy - Types of insurances in SCOPE.

If you draw up one or more of these policies in your country, please ask first the LEO/CP of your hosting LC if there are any insurance limits that have to be respected. Make sure to draw up policies that are valid in the italian territory!!

As there is no specific field in the Card of Documents for the Accident Insurance, you can upload it in the filed named "Other".
