The LEOs may cancel the clerkship, as well as the lodging, boarding and social program if you do not follow these rules.

80% attendance and filling up the Evaluation Form are requirements for receiving the certificate.
Special Remarks
Basic knowledge on Portuguese or Spanish is recommended.
The language certificate is now required with the AF. We also suggest students to bring a conversation guide for basic knowledge of local language.

The requirements would usually be 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, however this varies a lot, depending on the department.
Exchange students work under the same conditions as Brazilian students, and must obey all the regulations of the hospital and the tutor.
We expect the exchange student to participate seriously and actively at the department.

No formal or white clothes needed, but the white coat is mandatory. A T-shirt, jeans and any closed shoes are the most common options.

The minimum attendance required is 80%. Any absences must be agreed with the tutor in advance and LEO. Besides being allowed to skip 20% of the working days, the student must not skip all those days in a row, if this happens, it becomes a 3 week clerkship and it should be agreed upon the AF submission.

Vaccination is mandatory! Students must have immunization for yellow fever.

Cities Remarks
We have about 70 LC's eagerly waiting to receive students, with good Academic Quality and amazing Social Programs. As we receive a big amout of students each month, specially in July and August, is difficult to place everyone in their first option. Also, keep in mind that this is an Professional Exchange and not Vacation time, so IF there's no spots on the desired cities, we'll place the students on their desired departments.

Therefore, the student must follow these instructions:

1. Student must choose only one option from group A and group B
2. Student can choose up to 3 different options from group C

(Ex.: ABC or ACC or BCC or CCC)

Group A: Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Florianopolis and Curitiba

Group B: Recife, Belo Horizonte, Vitória, Porto Alegre, Brasilia, Joao Pessoa, Duque de Caxias, Niteroi

Group C: All the others

The student must choose 3 DIFFERENT CITIES.

AF's that don't match these statements will be sent back or placed based on the departments choices.

The places available in certain cities are very limited, so we can't always place in the desired city.

The Professional Exchange is the main Focus!

Calendar Remarks
July and August are really crowded! AFs for this months must be sent up to the March Meeting and as early as possible.
We have a smaller capacity for December and January, AFs for this months must be sent until the end of August.

Students applying for non calendar months most choose their start day from de 1th to the 15th day of the month.

Students who choose to start in the 29th or 30th of a month, won't be accept!

Any special cases, please ask your NEO to contact ours.
