Clerkship Type
- Clinical Clerkship
A clinical clerkship is defined as the rotation of a student in a clinical department of a hospital or clinic, such as Dermatology and Pediatrics.
- Preclinical Clerkship
A preclinical clerkship is defined as the rotation of a student in a preclinical department at a Medical Faculty/School or Hospital, such as Biology and Chemistry

We prefer the incomings are already in their clerkships program in their country

Even if accepted by the hosting country, students must be still enrolled in university by the time the Application Form is sent.

4 weeks, 6 hours a day, 5 days per week

ODEM or any person, hosting hospitals, dorms, social program organizers, operators & hosts, etc. are not responsible in any way for health and safety of the exchange student. 

-The exchangee is responsible for the damage or misuse of materials, rooms or any other item that is lent during his/her stay and practice. The exchangee will pay any cost.

Payment details for unilateral fee
The payment should be done before arriving to the country. In case is not possible talk to the LEO.
Visa requirements
If a visa is required we guarantee an INVITATION LETTER. Other required documents will depend on a previous agreement with the LEO/NEO.

Please note that since the cleckship is for a month a tourist card can be used (if it applies), the tourist card is only for 30 days.

The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”

Insurance
Health insurance is MANDATORY. It cannot be arranged in our country. Students need to arrange them in their own country.
We don't ask for Travel Insurance. If the students still want this insurance, they have to arrange them in their own country. This cannot be arranged in our country.

We dont ask for Malpractice Insurance because in Dominic Republic, only medical attendings are asked for it. If the students still want this insurance, they have to arrange them in their own country. This cannot be arranged in our country.
