- Communication with the patients and the doctors is in Arabic and French. Some departments are also available in english.

- Emergency, Psychiatry and some Pediatrics departments requires Arabic and French fluent speakers. Please check the exchange conditions of the LC
Clerkship Type
- Clinical Clerkship
A clinical clerkship is defined as the rotation of a student in a clinical department of a hospital or clinic, such as Dermatology and Pediatrics.

Academic Quality
- In order to get their certificates, the Incomings are requested to give to the hosting LEO at the end of the clerckship a copy of the handbook (filled), to fill the EF as well as a report of the exchange (mandatory).

- Our LCs offer various workshops and trainings during the year. Please ask your LEO if you would like to participate in these activities.

-5 days a week from 8:00 to 12:00.The student can work more if desired. Some departments may ask you to stay until 3-4 pm.

-The clerkship in Morocco can be practical or/and observational, depending on the departments.

-In order to get the certificate, the student must complete at least 80% of the clerkship.

-Any failure to attend the clerkship must be justified.

-If the student does not respect the working conditions of the department, the clerkship , including boarding and lodging, will be cancelled.

-If the student wishes to stay 3 weeks instead of 4, he must mention it in his AF, and get approval from the NEO first.

Cities Remarks
Please choose 3 different LCs.

Please note that we do NOT accept more than 15 incomings per LC per month, and we do NOT accept more than 2-3 incomings per LC in December, January, April and May because of our exams. Please be very careful with this limit, and send your Application Form as soon as possible as the first ones received will be the first ones served.
Calendar Remarks
Since our exam period is in December/January and May/June, we highly recommend NOT to come during these months so that you will not be alone.

PLEASE CHOOSE 4 DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES. Students who choose less than 4, and the chosen specialties are full/not available for the moment, will be positioned in any other discipline that is available.

All students partcipating in a surgical internship will be expected to bring their own scubs and appropriate footwear.

If your home university has any special demands, such as documents that need to be signed, please mention it on the remarks section of your AF.

Social Program
A free national social program is provided to all the incomings for July & August .
There is no national social program in the other months but the SCOPE local teams are always available for the Incomings and propose frequent activities and trips.

Special Remarks
Friends, relatives or pets will not be accepted.

Couples may apply together, but we can not insure that they will get the same LC or departement.

The exchangee is responsible for the damage or misuse of materials, rooms or any other item that is lent to him during his/her stay and practice. The exchangee will pay any incurred cost.

Clerkships are cancelled when the LC receives claims from the hospital for behavioral and/or professional notices. Lodging and board are not guaranteed after this cancellation.

Lodging :

Lodging is free for students on bilateral exchange.

Boarding :

For boarding, we provide restaurant tickets or we give pocket money for food, in case if you are not in a host family.
We provide 700 MAD (about 63 €) as pocket money if we do not offer boarding, in order to cover at least 2 meals (breakfast + lunch or dinner) per working day.

Visa requirements
Countries that need invitation letters for their students are requested to inform the NEO at least 4 weeks in advance.

Special Remarks
-Application Forms and Documents should be sent in the March Meeting for clerkships in July, August and September. For the rest of the year, it should be provided at least 4 months before the start of the clerkship. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee the clerkship.

-Students are placed according to the date of reception of the AF: first AFs received will be the first served.

The standard documents are the basic documents that the students are asking for and the special documents are less important, as only some Local Committees ask for them. So it's mandatory to upload the standard documents, but not the special ones. (Students do it when asked for by the LEO/NEO.)
The upon arrival documents are hard copies documents that the students are requested to take with them in the host country.”
Immunization requirements
We ask all students to make sure the following vaccinations are up to date
Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Polio, Tetanus, Diphtheria.

Insurance
We require a health insurance (Covering emergency care) and travel insurance. These insurance needs to be presented upon arrival or the exchange will be cancelled.

As NMO we do not ask for Malpractice Insurance thus the exchange student is not required to be insured for Malpractice, this insurance should be arranged in your home country if wanted, we do not have this type of insurance in our country.

If a civil liability insurance is requested at anytime, it can be arranged in our NMO for a fee of around 20 euros.

Health of Insurance & Proof of Enrollment need to be translated in English or French or Arabic. The ORIGINAL (NOT the copy !!!) papers have to be scanned and uploaded in the Card of Documents. This is VERY important, otherwise we will not accept the Application Form and will send it back.

3-Documents specific to LC Casablanca

Health Insurance : Should be in French, cover corporal damages that might occur during practice in hospital. If it's not possible, download this document , stamp it by the insurance company and send it together with the original document given by your insurer.

Proof of Enrollment Should be in french. If not possible, download this document. Stamp it by the university/dean and send it together with the original document given by the faculty.

Training agreement (in French) : this document should be filled, stamped electronically by the university/dean of the student, and sent. 
It determines the rules of the clerkship in terms of attendance and implication.

Liability insurance : should be in French. Casablanca's Incomings need to get it in their own countries and send before the start of the exchange

Health insurance: It covers expenses linked to health issues (if you have to see a doctor and buy drugs on prescription)
Travel Insurance: This insurance will cover you if problems appear during your travel such as medical emergency, trip interruption or cancellation, lost or stolen baggage or travel documents, and default protection.

6- We ask all students to make sure the following vaccinations are up to date

We only provide lodging for the mentioned period in the CA. If the student wishes to arrive before or after this period, the student must send the NEO and LEO of the hosting NMO an e-mail asking for their permission.
